weeknotes 32.44
current vibe: i have a fat headache caused by my lack of caffeine so i am now drinking my first coffee of the day. i just ate breakfast/lunch/dinner of zaru soba like 1 hr ago.
uh oh its another week where i have nothing to share!! nick and i went shopping on tuesday. i'm torn with thinking i'll lose weight again, but being a schmedium is tough since i have always been in between most sizes. i'm okay with being a medium... which is growth i guess but we cant always be 16 and have an eating disorder. mostly because you'll probably die before that. anyways i bought one pair of pants... just from uniqlo since i genuinely do think i'll lose weight again lmao. i dont want to buy a pair of pants for $100+ that wont fit me a lot of the time. look i think i'll lose the weight because i have been pretty inactive. and i will fix that by being active again!!
i finally requested my 1 day of PTO for utah!! so when i say i haven't been doing anything in my free time i have been scrolling to figure out what hikes would be good for arches, canyonlands and zion. and some back up areas incase the park is too busy. i re-downloaded alltrails and have been seeing all the old hikes i liked before... i need to find someone to hike with now... the yearly $80 pass for all national parks has trump on it. do i pay $250 for the non-resident pass to get one without trump on it?? i'm genuinely thinking about it!! but they only look at the back and match names so i'm probably okay with just putting a sticker over him lol. and i have been a big supporter of the timed entry and reservations at national parks and reading all of these horror stories about how busy some of these parks are makes me think i'm right. even if i like to hike in the early morning and be done around 3-4 pm id like the reason to be because i want to, not because parking is impossible. i also love going to yosemite when there are government shut downs despite the gnarly bathroom situations. i guess i will know how chaotic it is once we get to utah. i went to zion in december and hiked angels landing (pre-permit era) and it wasnt that busy. but it was december and icy and sort of bonkers to do that hike in december.
i also bought hiking sandals. nick bought some sandals when we were in copenhagen and i think he knew i wanted some. i bought some to try but they'll come in on wednesday so i guess i'll try them out next week before i commit to hiking only in those. very brave of me to have sandals that aren't birkenstocks. what will i do about my 10 year old birkenstock tanline? i also wanted sandals for when i go to the philippines in january which may get shortened because my coworker is going to go on paternity leave the same time ahahahah and without anyone to cover me for a month i probably will only be able to go 10 days - 2 weeks? and save my PTO for another trip i guess... i genuinely like this coworker, and his pregnant fiancee works with us to. so what am i gonna do?? say no? i can generally take time off whenever but he cant really control when his kid is born.
theres a few more things i want to talk about but i'm the kind of person who doesn't like to talk about things that aren't certain and that i have no control over. just kind of a waste of time to be like "oh nvm about that it all fell through" if it does. but anyways!! bye!!
