hii everybody
to be honest i just dont really wanna blog today!! i think this is my fault since i should've just done this in the morning... you'd think i'd know how to blog by now, its not like i've been blogging (oversharing on the internet) since xanga was a thing... i just have a headache and i'm dizzy!!
okay work rant time, on saturday i finished all my oct project deadlines and thought i could relax!! then that fucker who is always out on leave is out on leave again!!!! i yearn for time off... but a guy from texas came to learn the same week as their grand opening... lol. and its one engineer to replace the 12 of us?? okay. what a crazy decision. its also his first job out of college?? which isn't bad like everyone starts somewhere, but he doesn't even have anyone on site in texas to lean on for help which makes it crazy to me?? but i worked 5 days instead of my 3... i'm tired. this wasn't a rant. i have more negative things to say but i just work here so whatever.
so the only real fun thing i did this week was go see geese. i saw them open for king gizzard in 2024 at red rocks. the concert was just weird!! the sound was fucked up?? the snare cut through everything, cymbals were sooo quiet. i couldn't really hear any guitar. i have also been to this venue before so i have no idea what the deal was, unless the balcony seating just sounds awful?? i have no idea!!
i finally finished jaadugar even though it ended like a month ago. i'm gonna sound dumb and i didnt realize these were real people. i dont know why lol. but i also went on a wikipedia rabbit hole after this. so i hope this gets another season!! and for books i read the employees by olga ravn. i enjoyed this one much more than the wax child. and i finished the assassins apprentice which did get better from the halfway point when my book club last met. i think for november we will probably read piranesi which is gonna be a re-read for me. but i did read it in 2021 so i could benefit from a re-read.
i renewed my library card and in the process lost all of my bookmarked or tagged books on libby... which is kind of painful because that was a pretty solid TBR list. i have enough physical books to read. i also will buy the legend of zelda ocarina of time remake... on the calculation of volume 5 will come out soon too. i have things i need to focus on.
earlier today in jest i said weeknotes is like the monthly dump on instagram... i need to blog properly. get my shit together. i think i don't feel like yapping a bunch online since nick has been home so i can just talk to him a bunch!!
