idk how to use my new phone
happy monday time for an update. (i know its wednesday but i forgot)
i guess the biggest thing is that i have an iphone now. i don't know how to use it and part of me isnt learning because any friction that encourages me to stop using my phone is welcome.
small updates that benefit from bullet points:
- i have finished several work deadlines and now i can successfully ask for PTO. i would've gotten it approved regardless, because my boss doesn't care. but now with nothing pressing to do i can avoid the "okay make sure xyz is finished before you go" conversation
- i haven't made any progress with reading, oops. i learned that because east of eden is hella big i just dont wanna carry it around which has lead to me not reading during my breaks at work. so i'm saying its good i learned this, and will keep that as an at home book and the smaller <200 page books for work and carrying around.
- i got the chiikawa park tickets, and with my trip less than a month away i have been planning my trip. nothing is booked, but locations are set. need to message a few people to work around the days i'll be in tokyo.
- i got my car back!! i've been using my brothers and i felt bad because when i work on the weekend he has no car to use since he can't use his work car on non-work days. so im gonna get a tank of gas and wash his car.
i realized i don't really consume enough media to post about what i like on a weekly basis. i'm not too sad about that. books are always hard to talk about constantly since at any given time i just read 5+ books (because the vibes are different).
but i feel like its also hard to talk about things critically. i know i don't need to talk about things critically but something besides "its good i liked it" should be the bare minimum lol. so i can work on that. like work on valuing my own thoughts and opinions.
anyways,,, bye!!!!!
