a slightly belated mid year wrap up
i will try to do another wrap up for Q3 because remembering 6 months seems harder. we're going to also ignore that its the 11th, which is kind of on the edge of encouraging me to wait to post this. i don't know why. whatever!!
january
i actually did not start this year with any resolutions. just a new day.
i saw thee sacred souls!
nick officially moved in, i mean he was kind of already living with me. but now he gives me money.
i finally got a haircut. i was blessed with a nasty psoriasis flare up at the base of my neck. luckily in winter its easy to cover up. also its easy to cover with hair. but i have a bald spot rn due to the fact my scalp was kind of an open wound for a month. anyways, the second it healed i thought i should get a haircut!! but then i also thought its been 10 years since i purposely grew out my hair, i should do that again. but that was a thought i should've had prior to sitting in the chair. oh well.
then i saw aespa. i sat with george and tina, and justin had front row, barricade... watched him a good chunk of the show 
february
japan trip!! and i swear i will make a post about this because nathan will actually murder me if i don't!! i was there the majority of the month, then came back and got absolutely demolished by my workload.

to be honest i lost the majority of this month to working 6 days a week
but i did go see bbno$ which is a bit of a surprise when i tell people i went to see him lol.
and i also went "camping" which i say loosely because they planned it when i was in japan and the campgrounds we usually go to was unavailable so we got an airbnb in the nearby city. so not really camping at all. and kenneths ankle was fucked up so we didn't even go on a real hike. it was fun though.
april
i was rejuvenated and ready to live again!!!!!!!! except everyone blew me off and it left me spiraling tbh.
biennell and i went to see j-hope. such a good show. made me excited for them to all be free from the military. i am showing Restraint here by not wanting to add hella pictures. just two. i also used the ricoh griii that i bought nick, somewhat different than my fuji but bonus points for being so pocketable... but i didn't feel that comfortable using it because at this point i dont think about how to use my camera? kind of struggled tbh. battery life was also awful!!!!!!
someone also rear ended me...
nick took me to get peking duck, which i was craving for several years. and its not hard to get, but the craving and time and the hunger needed to body a duck just never matched. i was Very Sad and nick suggested we get duck the next day.

my cousin got married!!!!!
the wedding was so much fun. its the type of wedding that i think "oh this is why people spend so much money on these things". it was 100 degrees, everyone was hot and sweaty, people danced until the venues light turned off. i brought liquid IV that we were drinking between everything. great. best wedding i've been to, ever. but idk if its just because i'm happy for them. it doesn't feel any different since they've been together 16 years. i was surrounded by family, sooo many people that i went to hs with and even though they weren't in my circle my school was small enough that everyone knew everyone. my cousins have a big party every year for their bday, 1 day apart. (side tangent, my brothers birthday is two days before mine so when i was a kid i thought your siblings birthdays were close together... yeah) so i see these people at least once a year.

omg i have no pictures for this month!!!!! disappointing. teenager me would never allow this.
last of the wedding fun. as in, getting together one last time because everyone is in town still.
we had a bowling w friends/alumni night. i actually got there so late there was no more bowling and we went to my cousins house and hung out there. i also got tricked into baking something, which has happened several times that i think people are inviting me with the expectation that i'll bake. cyrina had less than a cup of sugar though.
we finally had a fireworks booth again!! it was fucking hot!!! what a stupid comment to say that summer days are hot. unsurprisingly, sitting in a wooden box in 100 degree weather is kind of brutal.

yesterday i actually went to look for an old photo, and i eventually logged into my old tumblr... i'm so motivated by my old tumblr. is it self-centered to say that my own blog inspired me? lol. i mean it was pretty personal, i just admire how much daily life stuff i crammed into posts. and maybe its interesting to me because its my past but i did make lifelong friends on that site, so. who knows? but i have ideas, it may take time to actualize them... but i'm thinking, plotting, scheming... maybe i'll make a decent post eventually. until then enjoy the garbage i suppose.
